Services Provided to Senior Adults through Columbia County Senior Services, Inc.

• Hot Meals:  Join other Senior Adults at the Lake City LifeStyle Enrichment Center or the Fort White LifeStyle Enrichment Center for a hot nutritious lunch, Monday through Friday.  A Registered Dietician is available to answer your nutrition and dietary questions.

• Home Delivered Meals:  Do you know someone who is homebound?  They could be eligible to receive meals delivered to their home.  A nutritionally balanced meal that meets 1/3 RDA.

• Transportation:  Columbia County Senior Services vans can provide you with transportation to our centers, shopping areas, and medical appointments.

• Telephone Reassurance:  Do you know someone who would benefit from a daily phone call?  We have volunteers who make daily friendly phone calls to reduce the feeling of isolation for homebound seniors.

• Emergency Alert Response:  In-Home Service which provides immediate response for any perceived emergency.  This program promotes a sense of well-being and safety for seniors living alone.

• In-Home Services:  Columbia County Senior Services provides a variety of services to the frail senior and the caregiver in the home.  Services include: homemaking, personal care, respite and basic subsidy.  These services are intended to help the senior remain in the home as long as safely possible and offer relief to the caregiver.

• Home Care for the Elderly Program:  A basic subsidy program designed to help a family keep an older family member at home.  A special subsidy is also available to help pay for medical supplies and medications.

• Activities:  A wide variety of Educational, Health Support and Recreational activities are available at our centers.
